Sustainable Practices

It's an everyday matter

A passion project - words from the founder

Perlin Design is in so many ways a passion project. The jewelry we create today expresses years of evolution in my personal artistic growth and development.

Our company is based in Sweden, the place where I grew up and a place that will always be in my heart. Here it’s easy to see the value and joy of preserving nature - it’s simply built into people’s everyday life. And this philosophy of always considering environmental impact is how I view all processes within the Perlin Design operation. Everything we do - from design to production, packaging and shipping - uses sustainable practices and recycled materials as much as possible to minimize waste and our carbon footprint.

Our jewelry is handcrafted in Portugal and Bali, from the finest materials. We carefully select our collaborators and use factories with good ethics and standards, where people earn good living wages and receive proper benefits and the process to fabricate the Perlin Design jewelry is managed with sustainability in mind.

Our materials

Our precious metals come primarily from recycled sources and most of our stones are largely laboratory grown - a process that produces the same quality as naturally-sourced stones, but requires only a fraction of the resources. All natural stones are sourced from places where sustainable and non-harmful processes to nature or the human laborers are strictly enforced. And all chemical wastes are managed according to certified government and environmental standards.

Our packaging materials are made from reused material and can be recycled and reused.

We constantly look for better, more sustainable ways to ship our products to you. At times it may take a little longer than normal to ship an order because we constantly look for the most efficient way - efficient for the planet - to deliver our orders. And we appreciate your understanding and patience when this is the case.

Continuing to improve

Although we strive to improve, there is always more to be done. If you have ideas on how we can improve, please do not hesitate to drop us a line to let us know.

Ultimately, we have nature to thank for these marvellous materials of stone and metal, and we want to honor the source from which we receive them.

Thank you for being a part of our story, and for making our sustainably -conscious jewelry a reality.
